
New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) As the country marks ”Poshan maah” this month, healthcare experts have called for urgent action to address the impact of COVID-19 on the national nutrition mission, saying the pandemic might affect the health of children and pregnant women the hardest as they are the most vulnerable to undernutrition.
The government is celebrating the National Nutrition Month or ”Poshan Maah” in September during which several programmes to spread awareness on the issues related to malnutrition in children, pregnant women and lactating mothers will be organised.
The experts PTI spoke to said this is a time when there is an urgency among all stakeholders to join forces. Read More …
