Globally, the prevalence of child obesity has reached epidemic levels alarmingly both in developed as well as in developing countries.But India has a double nutritional burden of undernutrition and obesity. As per the World Health Organization report, it has been estimated that over 41 million children under five years of age are overweight and almost half of these children live in Asia.
